Remedies to soothe the sunburn effects

These home remedies can make your heel fast from the painful symptoms of sunburn, causing relieving effects.

Apply ice

Applying ice on your skin a few moments after you reach home can be beneficial. This can absorb some of the heat from your skin and reduce swelling.

But follow your urge to bear coldness, and do not apply ice directly over your skin. Either wrap an ice pack in a cloth and apply it gently over your burnt skin.

Also, you can soak a cloth in ice water and then place it over the burn.

You can apply a cold compress several times a day for at least 10 minutes.

Tea bag

When you are burned around your eye, the sensitive area and the tannic acid present in tea may help pull heal from the affected area—also, the antioxidant compound known as catechus repair skin damage.

For application, soak tea bags, preferably two, in cold water and gently place them over your eye.

This will reduce swelling and also ease the pain.

Apply lotion or cream

The application of lotion, which contains aloe Vera or soy, causes a soothing effect on the skin.

Also, hydrocortisone cream has anti-inflammatory properties, effectively reducing redness and pain.

Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera is a remarkable gift of nature due to its healing properties.

Also, it does not contain artificial fragrances or colors that can cause skin irritation.

Apply it directly over the affected area. Break off the leaf and apply its juice.

Coconut oil

Cold-compressed coconut oil is highly beneficial for curing blisters, causing complete healing.

Since a variety of coconut oils are available on the market, if you are unsure about their purity, apply them over a patch of your skin first.

This will ensure that your skin may not have any unwanted reactions due to its application.

Do not apply it over your skin, as acne-prone skin can have breakouts due to coconut oil.

Oiling for sunburnt scalp

Your scalp is the first part of the body that comes in direct contact with the sun. It causes damage to the protective oils and cellular structure, causing redness, itching, and swelling.

It even affects the hair follicles causing hair thinning. Often it leads to hair fall.

Always cover your hair before direct sun exposure. But certain beneficial hair care products are available on the market that can reduce sunburn’s effect.

Internal recovery

For internal recovery, try a sunburn drink formalized with skin-friendly vitamins and micro-minerals.

Sunburn drink will help to rebuild skin tissues and combat damage caused by UV rays.

Conclusion

Follow the remedies discussed above to prevent sunburn. In case you are already affected by sunburn, these remedies can counter the effects of sunburn, making your skin happy and healthy again.
