What is Sunburn Drink?

Sunburn Drink is an all-natural vitamin-based beverage mix that greatly reduces or eliminates the effects and symptoms of sunburn.

Why Does a Body Go Red When Sunburned?

A tan is the creation of particles of melanin by special cells in the body.  These are like little sun shades the cells create to keep the sun away and stop the rays from burning the cells hiding under them.  If the skin already has some melanin in it, then the cell will work to darken the particles to increase the shade they provide.

How Much Do I Give a Child?

In general, you would give a child about half the dose an adult would take.

Children come in a whole range of physical sizes, so this is relative and judgement should be used.  A large 15 year old may be as big as an adult and able to take a whole dose, and some adults can be no larger than a child, and so would not need a full dose.  The amount of burn should also be taken into account.

The dosages are based on average adult sized body, with sunburns that would usually take a week to handle.

An ‘average’ adult would take one packet the first day and another 12 – 24 hours later.  An ‘average’ child would take half that.  Again, if a burn is very severe and medical attention is in order, then that is what should be done.

How Much Do I Take?

An average adult with an average burn would take one packet (sachet; dose; shot) one day, and a second the next day.

However, it depends on what the situation is and how big the body is.  A large person could take more, and someone who has a more severe burn could also take more.  We assume the person is an average size adult with some redness and pain.  Judgement must be used.  If a body is very badly burned, medical attention should be sought – especially if it is a child or a baby.

Sunburn Drink is made up of natural nutrients and it is unlikely one could overdose on it. However, Sunburn Drink does not replace medical attention where that would be appropriate.

What does Sunburn Drink Do For Dark Skinned People?

People who really care for their skin use Sunburn Drink, whether they over expose themselves to the sun or not.  Bodies need the vitamins, amino acids, minerals and electrolytes found in Sunburn Drink if its cells are going to stay young looking and healthy for as long as possible.

Skin is skin and it’s burned by too much sun.  Dark skinned people are fortunate in that they already have a large amount of melanin, and so can tolerate a lot more sun than a pasty white Englishman can.

That does not however mean that dark skinned people, or people who already have a tan, cannot get burned.  They can, and do, get burned.

The pain of getting burned is not the only problem that too much sun causes.  The UV destroys the connective tissue in the skin layers and causes the skin to become flabby and wrinkly.  Wrinkles are one way the skin protects itself – the sun can’t reach to the bottom of a wrinkle.

UV also causes permanent DNA damage to the skin, and this is one of the worst effects of excess and is what causes premature aging.

SunBurn Drink helps the body fight these two major beauty destroying effects – it reduces the damage to the collagen and DNA and keeps skin looking healthy for longer

Can I take Sunburn Drink BEFORE going in the sun so it helps me get a tan?

The ingredients in Sunburn Drink are designed to help the body’s cells fend off and deal with the damage that can be caused by exposure to UV radiation from the sun.  If your cells have the nutrients they need they can far more easily create melanin – which is their first line of defense against the sun.  Melanin is what makes up a tan.   It is like the cells creating their own little beech umbrellas for themselves to keep the sun out and stop it reaching lower down and damaging the inside bits of the cells.

So, making sure the cells have the ingredients in Sunburn Drink is a good thing from that point of view.  Certainly, one can take sunburn drink at any time – it is safe to do so.

Here’s the problem.   Medical advice is that sun exposure is bad for the body and that people should stay out of the sun.  We advise that you follow that advice. Keep sun exposure to the minimum, use high factor sun block, wear a hat and sleeves and leg protection – and use Sunburn Drink if these fail and you do get burned.

We do not encourage people to take the drink and then go out and get burned intentionally.  It does not make you burn proof and you should not give yourself a false sense of security.
